Cooler Heads Prevail!
Marcos and I have been working on this one for a while now and I’m super excited about putting it out into the world. We designed the original EDC ONE bags with hook & loop strips on their interior floor because we always planned to expand what the EDC ONE was capable of.
This is our first foray into that expansion system: a cooler insert. It’s somewhat of a misnomer to call it a cooler because its insulated construction makes it completely capable of keeping your snacks warm as well as cool. Nonetheless, we’re calling it a cooler.
It’s built from a strong, highly insulating, bubble wrap clad on both sides in a Mylar foil. A material commonly referred to as a radiant heat barrier.
From a physics standpoint this means it keeps the temperature of whatever you put inside it stable; it will keep your drinks cool all day long. Best of all Marcos came up with an insanely ingenious origami-style single piece design-once built it can hold your ice and drinks and it will not leak! Because it’s a single piece we ship it rolled up (i love that!). The cooler comes with super easy instructions for assembly.
This summer will be a hot one. It’s up to all for us to keep our cool.
